Internship Private Equity (m/f/x)

Key responsibilities and tasks

• Proactively support the investment professionals on transactions, including due diligence and preparation of investment papers
• Undertake analysis of new investment opportunities, create business valuations, financial models and information memoranda
• Support the investment team in key value-creation initiatives for our portfolio companies
• Conduct and generate insights from industry studies and market analysis

Personal skillset and competencies

• Strong analytical and financial skillset with first experience in financial modelling and valuation (especially LBO modelling) and financial statement analysis
• Deep understanding of business models and excellent business analysis skills
• High interpersonal competencies, well developed communication skills and an ability to build engagement with stakeholders
• Strong affinity to new technologies and a passion to work with and think like entrepreneurs
• High level of drive and commitment as well as a teamplayer mentality
• Very good MS Office skills (in particular Excel and PowerPoint)
• Fluency in German and English

Educational background

• Final semesters of Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or finance with excellent academic results, ideally advanced graduate degree in progress (M.Sc., MBA, etc.)
• First professional experience as an intern/working student gained at a reputable investment bank, private equity and/or strategy consultancy firm
• Experience in the technology sector or with digitization initiatives is a plus
