Corona Fonds of the University of Mannheim

The Corona Pandemic poses a challenge for students in many ways.
But especially financial hardships, such as losing a part-time job or having to suspend family support, prevent students from successfully continuing their studies.

As the corona survey we conducted showed, about 18 percent of students at the University of Mannheim believe that their studies are threatened by the financial hardship caused by the corona pandemic.

The foundation of the University of Mannheim has therefore created the Corona Fonds.
Selected students in financial difficulties are to receive a one-off payment of 800 € (without repayment).
In principle, the emergency scholarship is aimed at all Bachelor and Master students, as well as international students of the University of Mannheim.

The application is still possible until 31 May 2020.
When the emergency scholarships are awarded, our Social Affairs Officer Melina Hammer will attend the selection committee as a student representative.
